Sunrise
Lodge (Golden Alpine Holidays)
Dates:March
13-20,
Golden
Alpine Holidays operates four backcountry ski lodges
in British Columbia’s famous Selkirk Mountains.
This year Mountain Ascents will visit Golden Alpine’s
most sought after location – Sunrise Lodge. Sunrise
has been in high demand since the mid ‘80s due
to its fantastic ski terrain. It offers a great blend
of north-face tree skiing, acres of excellent alpine
skiing and opportunity for ski ascents of nearby peaks.
The lodge has recently undergone major interior and
exterior renovations and is now sporting an entirely
new look – but its backcountry charm is still
maintained. Lodge amenities include a cozy wood-heated
common area, two-person bedrooms upstairs, a spacious
propane-heated dry room and a very hot sauna.
Group size limited to 10 guests.
Access to the lodge is by helicopter from Golden, BC.
Most parties arrive at the Calgary International Airport
and drive (or bus) three hours west to Golden.
Cost: $2,000.00 Cdn plus 5% GST. Price includes helicopter
flight, food, accommodation and guiding.
