Mt. Athabasca Weekend: 2-Day Instructional Course

Based from the campground at the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park, this course offers beginners a taste of what mountaineering is all about.

Day 1 – A lesson of the skills necessary to safely ascend Mt. Athabasca (glacier travel, rope work, and snow and ice climbing techniques).

Day 2 – Put these skills to practice on an attempt of the North Glacier Route on Mt Athabasca. Be prepared for an early morning start!
